Meditation: The feeling after concentration on nothingness fills my heart with joy. Meditation is open a direct link to the Creative Intelligence of the Universe and is a pause from thought. We think all day and again in our dreams so this pause is very beneficial as all thoughts are about the problem of yesterday & the solutions of tomorrow. Meditation brings you into the moment which is all that really exists.

Cooking: I love great food and have just started to learn to cook & have had some quite amazing results and cooking great food for my beautiful wife Xochitl is a joy.

Acting: I love going to study Spiritual Psychology in the Art of Acting which I do every week. It’s like therapy and learning a new art all rolled into one. Also leaning a new art form is so much fun, it makes me feel like a child at play.

Chelsea: Having just been to see the mighty Blues win the FA Cup final at Wembley and I’m now content with our season. I thought we did well to keep the pace with Man Utd and Liverpool having sacked Scolari. Guus Hiddink did an amazing job and his short time as coach at Stamford Bridge will be a time of good memories. Lets now hope that Ancelotti can do a good job for us?

Shoreditch House: Nothing is better than chilling out on a warm sunny day by the pool with a cold beer and a newspaper at Shoreditch House. The place is great for business lunches, big football matches on TV, great food and simply kicking back in style.

Spain: Specifically the province of Alicante. Just got back from holiday there. My folks have had a house in a village in the mountains, about 20 minutes drive from the Costa Blanca since the 80′s and i’ve been there many times. Love it. The food, the climate, the people, the landscape – wonderful part of the world.

Walking on the downs: We moved out of london about two years ago to worthing on the south coast. one of the things i like about living down here is going for walks on the downs with my partner joanne and our kids, marc and mary. it’s great for mind body and soul and i like the way that fellow walkers always say hello or give you a nod as they pass.

My old Goa tapes: I was lucky enough to stumble across the party scene in goa in the mid to late 80′s and it’s always been my main inspiration as a dj. i still have some tapes from those days which i’ve recently transfered to mp3. back then it felt like the music was being beamed down from outer space and that we were god’s chosen ones. his cosmic, disco dancing children of the new age. now i know it was just a mixture of italo-disco, ebm, new beat, hi-nrg and electro-goth put together via pause button edits on sony walkmans. that doesn’t take away any of the magic though, in fact it adds to it.

Beer: I fucking love beer. Yeah it gets you drunk and that can be cool and everything, but as with many things in life, it’s more about the journey than the arrival. trying out lagers and ales from around the world has long been a hobby of mine and lately i’ve been getting into english beer. old peculiar, hobgoblin, old speckled hen – that kind of gear. straight from the fridge though – not ready for warm beer.

Family: I’ve always been family orientated and i’m so glad i have two great kids to carry the Mothersole legacy (whatever it might be) forward into a new generation.

Countryside escapes: I spent my first 19 years growing up in the country before moving to London to study. My dream was to have a small farm and work on the land. How I ended up DJing, promoting and being a banker is beyond me. I still love getting out of town whenever I can, to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside. Seeing the stars at night and only hearing the wind in the trees in the morning has to be one of my greatest creature comforts.

Apple: I am no geek but I love Apple products. I use my iMac, Macbook, iPhone and iPod every day. They are just well made, well designed and user friendly products. I listen, play and write music on them and spend my time watching TV, movies and sending photos around when I travel. For me these goods epitomise classic modern products.

Wine: I am a big fan of California wines in particular but generally enjoy a good bottle of wine as one of my greatest luxuries. I don’t have that many vices but treating myself to good wines on occasion is something I doubt I will ever give up. I have some very fond memories of enjoying a special glass of wine is a certain place or with a certain person. Like hearing an amazing new track for the first time, the taste of beautiful wine is a moment always kept in time.

Art: I have been collecting art for about 5 years. I think I must have about 15 pieces in total. Some are gifts from friends and other are pieces I’ve picked up from auctions or directly from artists studios. I got my love for art from my Dutch aunt who was a brilliant artist and had a huge house full of weird and wonderful collections. I really hope I am always able to get a couple of new paintings every year. It is a great feeling to fall in love with someone else’s creation and make it part of your life.

Moscow: Every DJ has their favourite party city. Mine is definitely Moscow. I think I bore my friends by always going on about how much fun I have there. For me it is a place where I can go and always have a great time. I have some very dear and close friends there, I rate the Moscow DJ’s as World class and the clubs are all so original and just immense fun. The first time I arrived in Moscow I had goose-bumps down my neck and I still do every time I come back there. For me it is much more than just another party city, it is a place I feel at home and happy.
