Legendary Canadian DJ / Producer Jay Tripwire returns to Superfreq in 2018 in collaboration with mysterious up-and-coming Vancouver-based producer Modern Ancient on the gorgeous "Heart432".
An old-school throwback from the days of illegal warehouses and afterhours parties from Vancouver all the way down to San Diego, Jay Tripwire has been responsible for some of the most exciting underground house music to come out of North America in the last nearly two decades. Back when vinyl was king, Jay's signature tracks and remixes on long-disappeared labels like Fine Funk, Swag, Big Chief, and others were "must-have's" in the record boxes of the world's elite DJ's from John Digweed and Laurent Garnier to Kerri Chandler and Mark Farina. Currently Jay continues to tour frequently and release music on labels such as Desert Hearts, Akbal Music, Viva Recordings, Cenote Records and more.
More recently Jay has been exploring working with different tunings using 432 and 528 and writing with certain healing frequencies in mind. "Heart432" is the fruit of those experiments, including three distinctly different versions and a DJ Tool from Jay and collaborator Modern Ancient (Original Mix, Spiritual Heartbreak Mix, and Meditation Mix), this release also includes a deliciously deep tech remix from fellow freaks Dance Spirit.
